ISTANBUL GALLERY IN ARCHIVIO FOTOBIETTIVO

This gallery presents shots from Istanbul, the neighborhoods that are around the Taksim Square, where is the most modern and western soul of the city, where are boulevards identical to those of any other European city, the usual shops of famous brands and multinational chains, while the alleys of the old city are still not completely modernized. Here young fashionable clothes alternate with veiled women or even completely covered ones. On this street there is also the heart of the youth counter-culture and the seat of the cultural Kurds Association.

The historical center of Istanbul, on the other hand, still has the atmosphere of the old city, and above all you will find here a representation of all minorities in this country, both in the sense the ethnic and social sense. It's neighborhoods totally abandoned by the institutions most likely by plans of urban changes for tourism, but in the meantime the people here live on the streets and in the shops and welcome you with incredible warmth and intensity, despite being very poor.
